Why would you want to uncap it? Your eyes can't register anything faster, it's completely redundant. Movies run at 30 fps, and honestly, games look better at 30 depending on what's going on.

You can see a difference between 60 fps and 200 fps, don't talk about stuff you don't know anything about.

It makes no difference. As I've said, movies run at 30 fps, the more motion blur in the frames, the lower the frames actually have to be. I don't own this game, so I don't know if there is blur or not, but regardless, 60 fps in a gmae is perfectly fine. You're eyes might be able to spot a slight difference if you have them compared side by side. It's pointless. The only reason anyone would need over 60 fps is to show how powerfull their CPU is. NO OTHER REASON. It's not practical in any way shape or form. You are just making your computer work harder for no gain.

I never said 60 fps isn't enough, but you can clearly see why people hate 30 fps and you can see a big difference between 60 fps and higher fps.

I can understand why someone wouldn't want 30. But pushing your CPU to do anything over 60 is pointless, and honestly is going to increase framerate stuttering. If you're in a low action part of a game and it's running at 120 fps, if an event triggers or a lot of enemies show up on screen or something, your fps will drop, and will stutter around all over as you play. Those min and max caps are there to improve CPU performance, and to provide a smooth gaming experience.

Cool, tx Nex, learned another thing or two today, makes my day, but if you have a really powerfull pc why not use the power, is there a optimum framerate for human gaming? Like maybe 120 fps? Or is 60 fps best for human eyes-brain? Also, I always put motion blur off, I personally find it distracting, annoying and even ugly.
Cheers

Do you even have a 120hz monitor? You'd only notice the difference above 60fps after playing for a long time anyway.

Yeah, games running at 30 never look better than 60. I seriously think this guy should get his eyes checked.

Action for him probably goes too fast at 60FPS.

LOL.
Yes, I have a 144hz monitor.
And, I run at 110-120 fov.
And, yes, you can 'percieve' more fps in games.
30 fps makes mouse feel sludgy and slow, like its in mud.
60 fps is better, but still like the mouse is under water and slow (but faster than 30 by far).
120 I feel is the optimum fps for gaming. Going from 120 to 144, I couldnt percieve any difference at all. Also, 120hz/fps (or 144hz) makes the mouse feel smooth as glass, and NOT like mouse smoothing is on or underwater or in mud.
If you want to test this, just get a 120hz monitor, play quake 3 with the 1.32 patch on, and set maxfps to 30. Try to play. Then set it to maxfps 60 and play. Then set it to maxfps 120 and play. You can certainly see, and percieve, both motion (I can see up to around 85-90 fps) and smoothness, let alone mouse movement.

And, yes, I have min/max fps unlocked, and fps limit false, with 110 fov, and the game feels great.
I havent gone below ~74fps in this game, but have gone above 400, so I might set max fps to 144, but probably not, as the 'micro stutter' (high fps down to low fps) doesnt bother me. It does if it dips into the 30's or lower though. But, I havent come across that (yet), so no biggy.

I've played at 120fps on a proper monitor and couldn't percieve any VISUAL difference, the mouse did feel a little bit better though compared to 60fps/60hz monitor, that was easily fixed by adjusting mouse settings when on the 60hz monitor.
Micro stutter is unacceptable for me at any framerate, it's worse than having lower framerate(to a certain extent).

I get no stuttering at all.
