Godus

Why doesn't GODUS have a fast forward button?
Has anyone ever asked this question? I've never seen this functionality discussed. I can think of no good PC game that plays like GODUS, that is requires you to do something else while you wait. I can think of a couple that are slow on their standard speed (Sim City and EU4) but these games all offer the ability to fast forward time. Is this a feature we should be demanding?

It was discussed around the time of the AMA, and shortly after the AMA balance files were modified to send the game into ultra speed for a few hours. Whether that was an inclination that a fast forward button is possible, or if it was just to show that the balance could severely change i have no idea.

If they do add one, and they probably should, it should be placed in the lower right where Gems are in the mobile version to better cement the idea that the two versions differ.

(this thread probably belongs in the ideas section though)

What heresy is this?

Forward button will come! You just have to purchase the function with gems for a temporary number of days!

has a > button.
it is currently hidden as 22cans did not get a "nice" reception when the beta had a P2W cash shop day 1.
Luckily the exact same pricing is available in the fruitpad store where the game was designed to be.
Oh, and the PC gamers can all go get stuffed, then they'll release the store in thePC port as well.
Then 22cans shall sell to kingcandy or zynga. just like PM's prior companies only this time the cash won't be to finish a game.

but I am just negative and bitter and don't accept the game is only 50% done in early access.
just like I didn't accept DeNA was just a distributor and not a sign of goals.
and did not accept that the touch screen mechanics meant they would dumb it down for mobile.

shame I am such a bad person that I don't trust and believe.

Because that could make godus fun....

Because you wouldn't spend gems on speeding the construction.

That wouldn't surprise me...

Because waiting is a Core Mechanic in Godus. It is the entire game. Godus is yet another devious, disgusting mobile title that pits a player's patience against their wallet.

just make a 'skip to end screen' purchase for 199$.

I'd quite like an FF button. Although it may unbalance the multi-player aspect? And I'd imagine that it would diminish mobile transaction opportunities. But for the PC it would be good. We've invested, let us create our world without time constraints. A god faces no challenges for it is omnipotent, having unlimited power. The job of a god is to be creative.

It does they're called gems and cost real money

Haha. Yep, I remember the gems. Hoping they will only reappear on the mobile version of Godus. And you should never have to buy more than £15 worth of gems in the games whole life time (for iOS version). I think that was the "invest to play" ethos that Peter was punting in the AMA session. Which I think is fair.

There are already $49.99 and $99.99 Gem packs in the iOS version.
Nice ethos, isn't it? So... flexible. ;)

I remember reading that. That was just a lie to comfort you.
