Godus Archers: Interesting idea, but needs a lot of work
In the previous patches before Archers I'd often just have Godus on and run to passively gain belief and other resources through special shrines... Now however with the introduction of Astari archers I have to pay attention to Godus at all times when it is running whenever. I don't think this is bad necessarily as it gives you more to do however there needs to be more things done to both the Astari archers and the follower archers.
First off nerf Astari archers, they have exceptionally long range and dont care whether or not your settlements are on top of a large cliff they will shoot fire arrows at your abodes. Also please decrease the amount of unhappiness that is generated through the fire arrows. I go from really happy followers to practically no happiness just because I wanted my archers to kill the Astari and just gave rain to my followers... At least remove the unhappiness penalty if you give rain to your followers under a certain time limit.
Second buff the Follower archers, they either don't seem to recognize the Astari as targets or they need to be within an inch of the Astari and make sure they arn't standing on a tiny rock to register them. They just are really bad at defending on their own. You have to drag the archers out, you have to leash them to the location the Astari are attacking, and then you have to babysit the burning houses while the minute-men lazily walk over to the location and then they may attack the Astari... On the other hand you could also just take a single finger of the gods and squish the entire raid with minimal effort.
Third add more mechanics to the archers, the archers don't seem to do much besides horridly "defend" and there really should be some more uses for them if you want to have a base here and there for defence. Maybe allow them to hunt in forests (an area with a certain amounts of trees), plains (an flat area without much on it), or fish in the sea in order to increase food, belief, gems, something really. Not only would this give more reasons to have military, but it would also have the military out and around the outskirts of your settlements which would help defend against Astari.
Fourth, if nothing else make it so that when you have whiped the Astari out on a map you do not spawn any more. I can understand that if some of your Followers defect to an Astari like position if you have tons of unhappiness, but if you have whiped them out and have maxed out your happiness nothing is worse than just leaving the game on and finding that not only you have no happiness, but half your civilization was just whiped out.
Just a few ideas for the new military.
