As opposed to rabbits/small vegetarians destroying open grassland, I say they attack your fields directly, and either slow or even damage the rate at which your crops grow, potentially attracting wolves to hurt your followers. Give them the option to domesticate ♥♥♥♥, or otherwise nurture a wild wolf population to keep the rabbits at bay.
I also personally wish there were livestock in this game for the farming settlements, I think they'd be super cute additions and I'd like to see their fields and the sheppards sending them between the streets of your little Godus villa.
