Alternative to Godus
Can someone suggest some good alternatives to Godus that are actually god games like Black and White 1 and 2?

An alternative to Godus is Farmville.

At alternative to Black and White doesn't really exist, but try Banished. I'm sure people will recommend some other games where you can develop a civilization and care for your people.

I looked at the visual demo, where you just move around the planet, it looked really good.

totallyTim, your first comment got deleted by a Steam mod, the second one by me because it had absolutely nothing to do with the thread. Settle things privately, without disturbing other people's threads with it. You can use the 'report' feature to address moderation you disagree with.

Privately with whom? I wrote that I disagree with Universim currently being considered as an alternative to your game, since the situation looks quite similar to Godus: Asking for money and promising a lot. Considering how Godus turned out (a failure), it's only natural I'm reserved about a pre SEA god game.

And now you're telling me some random Valve associate visited the 'garbage' section of your forum and removed my comment? Please... at least reveal the name.

So far it only seems like you're trying to provoke people and getting them banned... like that's something new.

P.S.: OP, I'm sorry that the pesky mod and me are disturbing your thread. Just don't buy into Universim yet (or Godus).

Why do mods just randomly delete posts? Wouldnt it help the mods arguments that the posts in question were visible to everyone? Because it look very shady when posts just randomly disapper, and people can take it the wrong way and think its censorship.

Edit: Shouldnt the ones who post topics be able to delete/hide unwanted comments (though that might me censorship in a way too)

Keep the thread on topic, please.

Stonehearth seems to be going along nicely and was greenlit on steam, although it is still in alpha, but it seems leagues ahead then Godus. They even recently added combat ironically.

It is a very basic game, and is essentially the true spiritual ancestor of the original Populous.

will do. Buy the universim a much more dedicated team of people and a much more groovy place to chill in the forums. Also it is looking to be everything that godus should be.

That looks perfect.

Folk Tail is sort of also a god game. It's more of a sandbox world builder though. It's still early access but that team is nicely adding features/art assets etc and releases nice videos when they do. I think it's usually every few weeks or a month or so.
