How are things now?
Almost a year ago if not more, I was one of the moderators on the 22cans.com forum. I left when Sam left.

I have recently reinstalled steam, and I still see Godus in the list.


How is the game, how is the team? Is it still 'meh', or even more so?

more of the team have departed, Fabs has left as has Jack. Combat development sprints has been in progress for 6+ months now, community generally remains unimpressed, and consider the combat to still more of a mobile focused mini game, than a main feature of a PC game.

Just to add to what Midless said; there's also the fact that after the game got a full release on mobile, back in November 2014, pretty much the entire team was pulled off Godus, to start work on a different game.
There's now three or four developers, making the game but they're mostly there, just to support the mobile release. So far, since last November, the only content that has been delivered, is a text document, accessed by clicking blue chests, which tells the story (which, contrary to the Kickstarter promise, was not written by James Leach).
Essentially, nothing has happened with the game, since February.

Plenty has happened!

George left.
Matthew Left.
A couple of the production staff left.
Fabs left.
Jack left.
Pavel left.
The Finance guy left.

There is a new art chick for godus and a couple of juniour coders as well.
Luckily the guy responsible for the AI in the game has since joined the trail project! So at least there is that good news!

Tim rance stopped being on the board.
Peter is still on the board but is no longer CEO.
