In general though, make sure you’re aiming at the next track before you jump for a transfer. You don't want to be parallel to it, you want to be aimed diagonally toward it so you’re jumping into it rather than jumping next to it.
A simplified way of describing the transfers when you don't use grip is that there's small magnets in the wheels that pull you toward whatever road your wheels are facing, and those magnets get stronger when you're moving faster, so you want to keep boosting leading up to the transfer, keep boosting during the jump, and keep boosting during the rotation.
I like it even more than before.
