This early in the game I can't think of anything that would be a permanent mistake.
What mistakes did you make? Some may be reversable.
As a tip, avoid repairing gear, and keep all items that you find until you are about to ascend.
At that point is when you should sell all the excess gear, and just legacy the one you want to keep.
Doing this will also let you keep swapping out items when one breaks.
Also you can leave an invader alone, and come back to it when you are a higher level and it will still be at its initial level so you can easily kill it.
Same thing as Daemon.Lupus, stuck with a broken blade and no other gear to replace it with because I sold them all. I dont have enough souls to repair and have to deal with a giant ogre w/ just my ritual knife (1pt damage is like 12 days to kill an imp). Why no delete character or start a new game? Please let me know if you plan to change it, otherwise I'm dropping it.
I would suggest to just run through a dungeon, avoiding all enemies, and then looting all the chests.
Repair gear at the forge for free at 1% per second rate.
