i went to the forge to log off for the day to repair my gear and when i exited to the main menu it sat in the saving screen for over 5 minutes and i had to close the game through task manager. its not a big deal just wanted to say something i lost about 30-60 minutes of progress

Interesting. Sorry about that! We're currently looking into saving issues and disconnects.

no problem i dont really mind because it saved my levels, souls, and items it only lost quest progress

Same thing i lost my Quest progress

When i hit save and quit it will say saving game but it wont ever get passed that screen. and when ever its autosaving the symbol wont go away indicating that it didnt save. And every time i force quit cause it wont respond i have to replay 30m- 1h of gameplay all over again and its getting pretty frustrating. Can this problem be solved?

On occasion recently I log on and find out that although I have all my unlocks, my gear and my souls, I'm back at the tutorial and have to start all over again. It's happened twice in the last few days. I've never ascended so I'm not sure if that's what happens when you ascend, and if I have been I'm not sure if it's doing that automatically (by design or by bug) or if I'm hitting the ascend button by mistake, but in any case I'd like it to stop! Any help/ideas/comments?

I have the exact same problem and im not even allowed to transcend yet. Definetely a bug. It kinda sucks having to start all over again even after you finished the story

I haven't even managed to destroy the bones of the first guardian yet before I get kicked bac to the before.

This has happened to me as well. I have completed as much of the story line as possible. The last quest directs you to a chest on the top of a mountain by the Apex Alters. You open the chest, nothing else happens. This chest is available once a day. This afternoon, when I logged in, I had all my souls, current level, gear, but was reset to the beginning of the tutorial as if I had Transcended or was a new player. Since there was never a way to 'roll back a save' or 'delete a character' my hopes of restoring our game progress are nonexistent. I only hope that this doesn't happen again. (But I imagine it will....just sayin)

Extra confusion. I still get notifications that someone has 'taken my alter.' When I open up the map menu, the are where it's taken, I can no longer access because I "Haven't been there yet"

I just started playing this game and have had to complete the tutorial almost every time I've logged on.

It seems that I lose all my progress when the day changes. (or when longer period passes not sure yet)
For example: If I log on today, complete the first 4 missions and log out, If i log on after that again, then I still have completed all those missions. But when I log on tomorrow, I'll have to complete all the missions again.

Every time I start out at the beginning where I will have to choose a god to serve. I've been at the service of all 3 with my first character. They don't seem to mind that I keep changing my allegiance :D

EDIT: It seems the progress resets whenever I close the game.

EDIT2: If i kill the game from under the processes using task manager (ctrl + shift + Esc) then the progress is not lost. Does this mean that whenever I close the game normally it overwrites my progress with null or something ? I'll try to see if my savegame still exists tomorrow.ˇ

EDIT3: Yey my savegame exists, didn't lose my progress. It looks like I'll be killing the game process from task manager instead of closing it nicely from now on...
(PS i also run the game as administrator)

EDIT4: Nope, still lost my progress... *sigh*

Same problem of two consecutive days in game. First losing progress in two steps from the end of the story and now second reset on it`s halfway. Great! (((

This is happening to me. Restarts me back at the beginning. I still have my items and souls though. What is causing this? As much as I like the game I will not keep doing the same playthrough a 3rd time.

The same happend on my game. Yesterday the game was stucked after ist pushed the button to exit the game. I started again the game and I was on the begining of game so as I haven't played the game before. The worldmap was covered again. But my Weapons, Armors, Runes, Char-Level and Souls I have allready.

Today the same happend, but on thing was different. I played the game untill the first big boss (aspek? don't know) I mean the first wolf boss. I defeated him and destroyed his skull. Then ein was teleportet back to the hand of krul. The game stucked again and I had to kill the game with the taskmanager. I started game agian, but the same again my gear and my level was saved but maps and story reseted to the begining.

I don't like to restart again an again and every time unlock the maps again.

Ok guys, I have about 1800 hrs in this game-LOVE IT!!!!What you are describing happened to yesterday for the 1st time ever!!!!!
Entire map was reset to zero, no altars or shrines owned, right? You still had your gear, spells (curses and blessings) and soul count? Started from sanctum as for the first time player, but with your level (mine was 30), Legolas you were round 50 or higher, right? Like I said 1st time ever for me!!!!!!
