I know this may be obvious, but did U download the game first? If so, right click on the game and go to properties. Then go to check youre game cache and check it online. OK or maybe ask Sean, the Moderator if that doesnt work. OK my friend.,;~}

In addition to what Cybersysop has said, another possible solution would be to make sure both Steam and Ascend are set to always run with administrative rights.

1. Completely close out of Steam and make sure that it is not running
2. Go the game's launch folder (C:\Program Files (x86)Steam\SteamApps\common\Ascend Hand of Kul\bin)
3. Right-click on Game.exe and proceed to "Properties"
4. Go to the "Compatibility" tab at the top and then check the box near the bottom of the window that says "Run this program as an administrator"
5. Then click "Apply" and then "OK"
6. Now do the same for Steam by going to Steam's launch folder (C:\Program Files (x86)Steam) and locating Steam.exe)
7. Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 for Steam.exe
8. Run Steam and then launch Ascend through it
