FYI: The "Please do not turn off your game..." warning is really not necessary on PC
Every time I see that message on a game I immediately know that the game was a direct port from console.

Please remove that message!!

It's insulting to our intelligence.

But I guess those happy people who always turn off their game when they wanna play need to be told not to so they can continue playing. Or when they save...

Remember that there's safety instructions on so many things these days that don't appear to be needed....but there will always be some people who are what those are made for.

Moved to suggestions.

You can't exit the game while it's saving. And nobody is going to yank the plug from their computer the moment the "autosave" icon is flashing. The only other way this would happen is if someone pressed ctrl-alt-del and killing the game in the task manager.

Either way, people don't use computers that way. Seriously, have you guys played a computer game before?

lol, yeah, I have.

Never say that no one would ever do that.
Probably should read this[www.forbes.com].

The small message doesn't really affect anyone anyways.

Oops, sorry about the ninja edit.

My point is, Ascend's save game file isn't the only thing that will get screwed up if you yank the power to your computer.

Also, modern computers and operating systems do have considerable protections in place, like write cache flushing. The Xbox doesn't even have "chkdsk".

That "small message" is insulting, and screams "quick and sloppy direct console port"

Maybe as an option in to remove it, so just in case someone comes by and is in that minority of whom these warning labels are made for, it would still exist.

I can see where you are coming from, and it most likely is just that someone forgot about that (I honestly forgot that it said that in the game until after this topic, lol).

I doubt it, since the text in the image was changed.

Anyway, it's beta and that's my beta feedback.
