Guys,

Since Sunday, I have had crafting tables and storage boxes disappearing after a few game days. Anyone else experincing this in the experimental branch?

Quick suggestion for a current work around. If you are unsure if your built indoor stuffs will vanish or not, place fire pits all over the area you want to build in. Save the game. load the game. If the fire pits vanish in some areas, you cant build in those areas. if they remain you should be good. dismantle the fire pits and build.

well then this is quite the annoying bug. Research bench - gone in 2 minutes, both times I built it. Storage boxes, gone in 10 seconds, at least I didn't have time to store anything in them. Man how am I supposed to get rich without a base. Hopefully this gets fixed, or anyone knows of a workaround?

My last idea does not work. It seems you have to avoid building things too close to walls in order for them to not disappear (still assuming) though thus far it has worked. On top of this several of my characters refuse to eat unless I restart the game. They eat upon load, but wont eat again until I save, exit and load. Also tasking and jobs and people on routes stop their tasks far too often when i move around the map or even pause the game. Just riddled with bugs. I was fine being a wandering merchant but once I tried to set up a town the game just starting seeping out every end.

I have rarely experienced this since the last update, but I suspected it was from placing things too close to walls inside the buildings. I now make sure all people are green and though I hate wasting the space it has cured the disappearing items. Mostly. They can still disappear while paused but letting time advance a second draws them back in. ( even when people are inside ).

This is what I saw once after items disappeared from inside my buildings.
The objects inside the yellow circle are weapons racks that have sunk below the building they use to be in. I could see them for a short time while in build mode, but not all the missing items could be seen. I was also still producing power for a few days from missing generators.

I had an outdoor camp disappear upon loading my game. While my posse was standing on top of it but not using any of it. It consisted of 1 campfire and maybe 5 bed rolls, located in the swamp. Since it happened River raptors have been aggroing me, where before they have been neutral unless I was farming. Not sure if related.

I'm NOT playing experimental though.

My problem seems slightly different, in that I'm not having items dissapear randomly but when trying to import a save now it causes EVERYTHING within the the 4 different buildings I own in The Hub to vanish leaving the interiors & exteriors bare.

Been able to test out importing in the past and it worked, the only thing different currently that I am aware of is subscribed to a new mod to guarentee unique recruits showing up.

Dammit just realized my error, forgot to zip my save before transferred it to Dropbox, ignore the last link devs and use this one.
7-zip and Winzip-etc can work with each others compressed files, right?

Hey guys, I am experiencing the same issue too, but I think I might have just got a solution of some sort. I found out the following:

1. The dissapearing benches/storage boxes are on the same area. That means if you put another things on the place where another have dissapeared before the chance is that it will dissapear again.
2. You may be able to salvage what you 'lost'. I notice that these items dissapear when you load the save file while you already playing but if you quit the game and load the file straight after you will still have those. But if you reload the game again the items will again dissapear. Now, if you still have the latest save file just after they dissapear you may still get your items back. Problem is though, if you save the game after the items dissapear - well though luck because they would have gone for good.

I hope that helps.
