Game crashes and freezes 2024

Tried playing this in 2024 and can not get it to work, and I'm running a pretty beefy PC. Anyone know a work around? It will launch in windowed at a lower resolution but eventually freezes and refuses to work in 2560x1440...

Try to verify integrity maybe? Is it running on integrated graphics or your dedicated GPU? No issues here at all.

Is 2560x1440 your native resolution or are you using DSR? I see this note on PCgamingwiki:

Higher than native resolutions cause crashes and white screen
Game has trouble displaying resolutions higher than desktop one, such as DSR, often resulting in glitched white screen. Set your desired DSR resolution as desktop resolution globally to bypass this problem.

I verified the files through steam and 2560x1440 is my native resolution. I just ended up getting my money back through steam support. It seemed to only function in windowed mode and even then it would freeze and repeat audio. Sucks cause I waited years to play but I guess I'll never get the chance..
