It's in the same gender of a God of War of old from the early 2000's. It's mostly an Action driven Role Playing Game (RPG) with specific combat mechanics, particularly when you're facing bosses. I'm also liking how both are turning out to be too. :steamthis:

About 90% of Lords of Shadow is really good. The DLCs are not great and the "post credits scene" that sets up the sequel was very out of place, but Lords of Shadow doesn't get the love it deserves. Shame about the sequels. Mirror of Fate and LoS2 are very mixed bags.

Yeah at the time I was in the military and didn’t have a lot of time to play games. So I missed out but I’m rather enjoying them.

yea these games are absolutely not even close to what old GOW were. At all. This game plays very differently from most 3d action rpg games of the era of the time.

Truly hope you love the games as much as I do! Reading and fighting through is an ethereal experience! There is nothing like this trilogy out there that combines the supernatural genre & historical fiction in this honorable and steadfast manner, without insulting the very inspirations it draws from. Have fun and enjoy!
