Single Player
I think this game would be a lot more fun if we could play it in single player. It wouldn't be hard to add, since all the code is already there, it would essentially just be local multiplayer that uses the full screen and doesn't have the offensive powerups.

This game has a lot of bad reviews, and I think adding a single player option would improve reception a lot. Achievement hunters wouldn't have to deal with the matchmaking system, and this game wouldn't become unplayable when the community dwindles away.

Uh.. it's already there. Uncheck the "accept challengers" (or is it "allow"?) option when playing arcade and you don't get paired with anyone when trying to play nor you're challenged during a stage.

Fullscreen is also there, and there are also singleplayer powerups. You've been missing quite a bit of the game there.

You're right about unchecking "Accept Challengers", thanks. For some reason the first time I did that it didn't work, and I just hadn't bothered to try again. I think you misinterpreted what I said about using the full screen though.

You mean local coop with both characters on the same screen? If yes, maybe splitscreen would work better.

No, since I didn't realize you could do single player in arcade mode, I though the only way to play alone was to do split-screen and just leave the second palyer unattended. Under that belief, I was saying that it would be nice to be able to play alone and still use the full screen.

I'm already using your tip for unchecking the "Accept Challengers" box, by the way. That's so helpful. :)
