Singleplayer? What singleplayer?
I play a lot of games. Left 4 dead 1&2, Mount & Blade, Halflife, Total War, Garry's Mod and many others. All of these games have three similarities. A multiplayer/offline-singleplayer option, a pause button, and are NOT part of the 'always online' cluster-♥♥♥♥.

So.. In this game, where the anons are an incarnation of cancer (no offence to you nurgle cultist heretics out there), and where your game shuts down right at launch because your internet is "currently unable to connect to servers" when your ping is exact of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MARS (Adeptus Mechanus, anyone?) because of ♥♥♥♥ internet quality;

WHY, OF ALL GAMES, DOES THIS GAME NOT HAVE ANY SEMBLANCE TO A PAUSE BUTTON OR NON-ONLINE MODE? (for granted, you COULD just click the "private match" box, then continue with the bots, but it still doesn't solve the not being able to pause issue, and shutdown at start-up due to "muh servers")

Serriously, why? Did a pause button grow a pair of teeth and bite one of the devs in the fingers?
Did the thought of some semblance of an offline/non-online mode manifest itself into a chaos spawn and devour half of the fatshark team??

(almost) All of the files are already on the computer via 36 gigs of information, so (as far as I can tell) unwanted software modification prevention isn't really top on the priority list.

So... WHY? I don't even care if the answer I'm given is simply not true or obvious ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. At this point I just want a damn answer.

Please. Someone. Just explain this extremely... Strange buiseness decision to me. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WARFRAME has both a non-server mode and pause, and that's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ online game with servers. SO WHY IS VERMINTIDE DIFFERENT?? I JUST WANT TO PLAY THE DAMN GAME THAT I SPENT HARD EARNED MONEY ON. WHAT'S SO WRONG WITH THAT??

You have the same symbol in front of your name as a known sh*tposter on Vermintide's Discussions, and you don't exactly explain your point calmly. Is this a coincidence?
