Downloading a game whilst playing another
Regardless of whether it A.) makes the game run slower and/or B.) makes the download slower, is it possible? I've spent the last decade assuming that they cancel each other out but maybe you can tweak something?

Steam - settings - download - allow download during gameplay. It is for general setting. You can tune it exclusively for each game via library - game properties.

But i do not recommend to use it. If you need smth exact to bhe downloaded wile you playing - alt+tab during game - library - install game/resume download

Ah that simple huh? Cheers for that. Some of the games I play are pretty old (Thief and Rome Total War) so figured they take peanuts from my computer as it is.

Dont forget that ANY install requires disk resources to write/read. It could affect aby game you play, regardless how old it is. But if question os only net connection - sure :)
