"Discord is a free voice and text chat app designed specifically for gaming.
Discord was born out of our own frustrations with the voice and chat tools we all use while playing games.
It’s a bit strange that in 2015 most of us are using chat apps that haven’t been updated in years to play games that are updated every week.
We deserve better. Discord brings gaming communication out of the stone age. It's free, easy to use, and with you even while you are AFK."


About the Server:
Current members: 4100+

This server is for you who is looking for people to chat/talk with while playing Vermintide! It's completely free to use!
When the server gets filled up I will be making more channels.
There will be a few channels that you will have to be in a specific role in order to get access too, but mainly on channels like the streaming channel ect.

• Unlimited slots (There is no limit on how many people can join this server)
• Voice Channels (People talk with their microphone)
• Streaming Channels ( For streamers who wants a private party)
• Text channels ( People chat with eachother)
• Matchmaking Channel (If you're looking for someone to play with).

Rules:
Breaking any rule might get you banned from the server, I mean use common sense.

• No offensive language, we are all friends.
• No racism
• Don't be a wiseacre

Well now you do.
Discord is a waste of time and system resources, especially when a game has it's own built in voice chat.
Period.
Discord is great. Never had any issues with it. It barely uses any resources. I also have great PC and internet so eh.

I run Discord through browser and never had any issues for the reasons Purin mentioned. One of the biggest advantages for joining is - you can quickly find people to help you with you runs. A lot of players are online all the time and you can contact them, like if Vermintide had a lobby.

I would not recommend chatting througth discord while in game though since the game does has it's voice chat already.

I've actually found Discord to more reliable tha most ingame VC. The audio quality is the same, but the packet-sending (or whatever the correct term is) is much better.

I used to think that having another app open would slow my connection down, but then I tried it, and it doesn't. Which makes no sense to me, but it is what it is.

I can only put it down to the fact that Discord was specifically written for this type of thing, whereas ingame VC is just 'something that the game has'.

But I'm not a dev, that's is just conjecture.

i bought this game and im new to this fighting mechanics and with no one online around feels you know lonely add me so we can play ..i hardly played 20mins
