I have this weird bug that makes my character continue moving forward (even without button press) after holding down the W (move forward button) for a while. E.g. I can even hold W while facing a wall for a few seconds, let go of W, turn around and the character will just move forward on his own. During this "sliding", my character is to not be able to move backwards as the backwards movment is compensated by the forward movement, thus my character will just stand in place. I noticed the longer I hold down W, the further the "slide" would be. It's very irritated (and deadly) when trying to backoff from attacks and walking on narrow ledges.

Anyone have this problem and found a fix? I've tried reseting my controls and changing the FOV but neither helps.
