independently controlled turrets
I'd like it so that instead of just an all or nothing auto feature, you could say rt-click a particular turret or heavy weapon and set it to auto or manual. that way I could control the front guns say, while the crew controls the sides and back.

would add a lot more control to big fights.

hard to implement, since turret targeting is limited to 4 targets max, because front turrets fire at 1 target, side turrets fire at 1 each, rear turrets fire at another one. If your turret cant engage the target, it will not fire and it wont seek targets independently either... so it currently fits better if you have 4 turrets total, not 15+. If your ships dont have well-aligned turrets, they just stay silent most of the time, so thats where a lot of imba comes from with 'wrong' ship design, Where some ships are simply superior, while other ones that cover more space shoot less guns because of a lack of an independent targeting for each turret, just because 5 turrets are slaved to 1, You have focus target option so it isnt like these changes wouldnt be beneficial. Especially if in warlords ships actually get scaled like in the SG2 intro, this will provide for even more half-useless turret positions it will glare much more.

If u want only frontal guns control while the rest is auto, not bad, but each turret should be able to fire if it has a target other turrets cant engage.
