First of all, is the ship that spawns actually near the station when you destroy the 2 defense platforms or does it spawn in the asteroid field somewhere?
Is the ship name actually "Anaconda" or is it really something else (due to game updates/changes since this mission was created)?
Is the ship supposed to be hostile and or have a mission marker showing me where it is, or is it a blue ship I'm supposed to find just floating around?
Does anybody have a screenshot of what this ship/location looks like relative to the space station?
When I destroy the 2 ships I get the "Follow" and destroy Walter... message, however after that I have flown around for hours, restarted the game, restarted an earlier save, and restarted the mission multiple times... I still can't find a ship called "Anaconda" or anything that indicated "Walter," and all ships, including factions I'm at war with, are blue.
I don't know if I broke anything by completing the mission to get the Thor Titan prior to this mission, or not... but yeah, flying a Titan and can't complete this one dang mission right next to where I am currently. :(
Ok, thank you for explaining it, Geek! You are the most reliable SPG2 helper dude on these forums! :)
This was not obvious to me at all, as there was no other hostile ship anywhere on or off radar after the 2 defense platforms were destroyed.
I think something breaks in the game if you do the Titan campaign before completing this little mission... in fact, after that is when I noticed my game was set to "0" (for Free Roam) in the save file. I wonder if completing the Titans campaign effectively ends the "Campaign" mode. o_o
I tried editing my save to change it "back" to a Campaign ("1" in a certain part of the save file), checked my files through Steam, and restarted the mission probably a good 5-7 times.
Anyway to spawn the exact ship I need to kill or to simply auto-complete this mission to progress the story arch (if there is one after that mission)?
I sent a copy of my save to the LGM team, but I know they are few and focused on Warlords currently.
I put a pause on my level 80 game for now, and instead started up a new Origins campaign. It would be awesome to get through all of SPG2 now that I have a little time... and then on to Warlords, which I keep buying DLC for, but have yet to start. :X
Thanks again!
It is available in freeroam for that reason.
... but the Walter mission is a DLC side mission, too, no?
I'm wondering if the game switching from Campaign to Free Roam is what breaks the game, and if the Titans side mission is what triggers this... or not... all I know is that the save I was playing was originally a Campaign game, which I continued, but it was set to Free Roam at some point, and for some reason I can't complete the side mission after getting my Titan.
I admit, the 2 things may be completely unrelated, however I just find it interesting that the game randomly broke after the Titan mission was completed.
Are there more missions after that one? If not, I may just say "meh" and move on with the roaming around and capturing the other 2 Titans.
It is added by the SoA DLC, but it is completely separate from the main missions.
So, likely it was not the Campaign game switching to Free Roam that broke it... come to think of it, I've been done with the main campaign missions for a LOOOOONG time, so it's possible I did not notice that it switched to Free Roam way back then.
I could have sworn I completed every SoA mission back when that was the first DLC. I am 90% certain I would have completed every single DLC mission available to me back then... just sounds like something I would do.
I attempted to complete it (possibly for the second time? o_O) after completing the last Side Mission in Titans to get the Korkyra Titan. I'm wondering if those SoA missions were added back to my game by accident after some patch after the introduction in Titans.
I guess it's not a huge deal either way. :)
Thank you!
