Mission Bugged [spoilers][SOLVED]

Is there a way I can force a mission to progress? I'm stuck at a point where the game is telling me to board a marked derelict, but the derelict that appears cannot be borded nor is it marked. it also cannot be destroyed and looted. the game's progress is stuck at this point. it's a mission on the origins dlc right after you're required to board the two guard platforms and start the reaction that fills the area with rifts. as soon as i do this and proceed to the checkpoint it tells me to board the derelict that pops up and investigate it but i cannot and the game wont progress progress beyond this point.

pro tip: shooting the derelict before getting close enough to progress the mission breaks it. don't shoot it!

Hey guys,
in case anyone else is experiencing the same thing - the mission is called Fontenaux.

It's a really confusing mission, when you get close to the derelict the game tells you that you need to board it (which you can't) - but the thing is that the boarding process is actually done automatically and described through dialogue. If you wait for all the dialogue to end (there's a lot of it), the mission actually ends right there.

what range is it supposed to update at? i can get right next to it without it updating. admittedly i shoot the derelict out of frustration thinking i was supposed to be able to board using the standard method. maybe because i shoot it the mission gets bugged and wont update even though the derelict cannot be destroyed. i'll give it a shot without shooting it.
