Problem with the resolution and mouse. (Solved)
The first thing I do when I download a game is go to options and customize the thingies there, and Starpoint Gemini 2 was not an exception, so I loaded the game, and the resolution, which seems to be 1920x1080 gets adapted to my resolution, which is 1280x1024, so it looks a little sandwiched, but the problem is I can't change anything, because my mouse won't move to the right of the screen.

Here are two screenshots where you can see the rightmost position I can go with the mouse, therefore I can't click the right arrow and change resolution or display.

Any ideas, please?

I would guess, try to find the config file.
Taihou 6 Sep, 2013 @ 1:38pm
Yeah, I went to Whale2Configuration.cfg and changed:

Resolution: 1600 900

to

Resolution: 1280 1024

but the problem is still here.

Okay, that was the wrong config file, went to StarpointGemini2Configuration.cfg and changed it there and now works fine.

Still I think diving to the cfg wouldn't be the "right thing to do".

Also, what does "Display, resolution..." etc mean when their options are "Low, Med and High"? What is "Low Resolution or Low Display"?

Yep, I'd do the same thing, open the properties of the game (game library) and find local folder where steam installs your game and find a config file, there's practically always one and you should be able to change it somewhere there.. I'm almost done downloading, so will be able to tell you more..

I´ve got the same problems, however, changing the config files did NOT help. I still can´t move the mouse to the right.. in fact, not only the right, but I can only move it inside the boundaries of a small square to the left of the screen.

P.S: my max resolution is 1024x768.

dito, i have a 4:3 display, and setting it to 1600 1200 makes the screen fill fine, but i cant move my cursor to the bottom of the screen, it hits an invisible wall about 3/4 down the screen, and cant move it all the way to the right either

I changed my resolution to 1680 1050 , works perfectly.

same problem, and despite changing the resolution in the cfg file make possible move the mouse to video options(right side), the entire game screen now don´t fit correctly my monitor display in 4:3...so to me the is unplayable

So, no solution to this problem yet? or is the game simply not compatible with 1024x768 resolution?

Make sure you only change the StarpointGemini2Configuration.cfg

When I changed the other too, it didn't work, only when I changed SG2c it did.

We're fixing resolution related problems as I write this. The update will be uploaded today.

Being able to change the resolution in-game is pretty much a must.

Thank you danijel.

Also, when i got my resolution down to 1280x1024 the HUD seems all clogged, the radar is under the expendables bar so I cannot see all the radar, all is together and very big.

You should make some rescalling to the objects in the HUD too.

Capture of it:

I think our problem is the same....from another thread:

Ok, shot explained enough, thank you. We understand the problem. Our best effort will be done to resolve this. For non widescreen monitors it will require a bit greater changes, but we will clear this problem as fast as possible"
