Martial Arts Requirement?

So how do i progress Martial Arts? You know the books with skills inside of em and passives, i cant seem to get more "Proficiency" ? Keeps Saying "No Level" when i hover of it it says "Requirement: Proficiency" in red and i been fighting quite alot, pressed everything i think would be Pressable lol But cant seem to progress the books?
Anyone know how to do that?

Is it to do with the whole "Realm: Proficiency" Realm: Mastery and so on?

As you defeat NPCs and complete various tasks, you will earn cultivation points. To check which meridians need to be completed and which quests you need to undertake, go to the Internal Skill Realm tab. Then go to the Meridians tab to open the meridian corresponding to your current realm using your cultivation points. Complete the necessary quests, then return to the Internal Skill Realm, and you will be able to break through to the next realm.
