MP is possible if you have a dedicated IP server. DHCP will not work. Host must have a static IP address. If you or a friend have this capability, then you can install the patch that is linked in a sticky at the top of the multiplayer discussions. This will re-enable the MP Lobby, and allow you to join a hosted server by typing in the IP address directly.

Note: Only the host needs to be a static IP. Once it is set up, anyone with the IP address can join via the lobby. It can still be set up to be password protected (Private).

This is a third party patch by an independent programmer. It is a work in progress, but has basic functionality.
