Old news. Game has been effectively abandoned for 4 years. The VR game is a more recent game and had nothing to do with that. You can support them or not. You could also learn Source and attempt to fix this game.

Well the game will get a bigger update in this month so the game is no longer abandoned, if you can see my answer.

At the time when op made the post the game was looking pretty dead. Recent updates are changing that.
