This is how to uncap the framerate
Hello, the internet would not point me towards how to boost the framerate from 62 to 144 so I did it myself. What I did was :

> open BaseEngine.ini
> ctrl + f (search) "MaxSmoothedFrameRate"
> change to whatever you want

I think setting bSmoothFrameRate to false might do the trick too but I haven't tested it.

Have a nice day.

Thanks!

Wonderful thanks! Next I need to try to figure out how to get 3440 x 1440 resolution, change FOV and also get rid of this grid snapping when moving the mouse. You move the mouse just slightly and it jumps its like it has grid snapping on. Putting smooth mouse on definitely helps but isn’t good enough.

As far as i know, this game does not support ultrawide screen resolutions and they can't be forced.

change FOV
go to game_forlder\QUBEGame\Config, open QUBEgame.ini and add this at the end:
Bindings=(Name="NumpadFive",Command="FOV 100",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)
Pressing 5 on the numpad will now change the FOV to the specified amount.
You can change "NumpadFive" to whatever key you prefer and the same applies to the FOV amount.
If you want you can add more of the same line changing the Name="___" and "FOV 100" parts to add more FOV controllers to fill the numpad.
If you also add more of the same lines with the same keys and FOV but change "Alt=False" to "Alt=True", you can add 9 more FOV controllers pressing Alt + desired numpad number in game.

If all of this fails, try doing the same but in QUBEInput.ini instead.

By setting the resolution in game to 3840 x 2160, setting full screen on and using your above code for a FOV of 120 deg it now plays perfect on my 3440 x 1440 gsync monitor at 120 fps with my RTX 2080 Ultra. Thanks so much!

Bindings=(Name="NumpadFive",Command="FOV 100",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)
Bindings=(Name="NumpadSix",Command="FOV 110",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)
Bindings=(Name="NumpadSeven",Command="FOV 120",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)
Bindings=(Name="NumpadEight",Command="FOV 130",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)

Sorry if this is digging up a dead thread, but i did all this and it looks like the game is capped to 22 fps now, which would be the exact default value, the .ini had, even after changing it to 60. Also tried the smoothing option with false and hoestly i'm pretty stunned i still have this problem.

Is it maybe even connected to windows 10 64bit?
This is a desktop system running a server cpu and a gtx 1070, so it can not be an integrated gpu problem or something like this. What the hell is going on?

Edit: Tried win 7, vista and xp and win 8 compatibility modes and still nothing.

Where is this basengine.ini? I don't see it in any of the games directories or the save file directory.

can't find the qubegame.ini file, can you tell me where is it please?

The last two questions in this thread were about extremely important pieces of information needed to apply these tweaks, yet bizarrely not provided. Both files are in the game's installation folder.

<SteamLibrary>\steamapps\common\QUBE Directors Cut\Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini <SteamLibrary>\steamapps\common\QUBE Directors Cut\QUBEGame\Config\QUBEGame.ini

"QUBEInput.ini" was also mentioned. Here's where that's located:
<SteamLibrary>\steamapps\common\QUBE Directors Cut\QUBEGame\Config\QUBEInput.ini

I was able to use these tweaks to remove the frame rate limit and change the FOV so I could play Q.U.B.E Director's Cut in virtual reality with vorpX.
