Episode 1 - In which people get angry and I make an ♥♥♥ of myself.

Episode 2 - In which we determine the achievement is impossible, a charity is almost organized, a mod is made, and I am named Chief Councillor of State for some reason.

Episode 3 - In which someone actually unlocked the achievement through hacking, but didn't tell us how because that person's a JEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRK!

Four-ish years later, these games still hold a special place in my heart. Well, techically they're not games, but "visual novel" is a mouthful and it seems wrong to call them books, so... yeah. In any case, many of the issues explored by the Hate series are now at the center of various social movements, rallies, and even violent protests. Regardless of where you stand on those issues, let us all try to remember the lesson of these games: hate can be satisfying, even provide a short-term escape from your problem, but it solves nothing. *Hyun-Ae and New *Mute are the only characters who get happy endings, because in both cases they weren't technically the same people who were involved in the events. Other than that, all the characters we meet and read about die as a result of hatred or self-loathing: all because of a cycle of hatred so powerful, it still killed *Mute hundreds of years later. It is only in the non-canon endings that we see something powerful enough to break the cycle: love and compassion. Two things we're gonna need a lot of in the coming years, I think.

But enough real-talk, these threads are really an excuse to troll completionists who rage about not being able to unlock that last achievement. Let's fill up this thread so we can have an Episode 5 in 2019. :P
