back to the bad old days
well looks like we're back to the old habits of ignoring the forums and not updating the game.

Early April has come and gone without a word or clarification of why there's a delay. I checked both the developer and unstable versions of the game today and it's still on 1.01. also checked the patch notes and no update and reddit, which has nothing newer than a month.

I reference the update plan thread, Jon’s comments Jan 25th @9.44 am

“As someone else pointed out there's a "developer" branch I'll start updating soon which will include more regular changes, but likely more bugs as well. So anyone interested in lending a hand (and speeding up that testing phase!) is welcome to play on that, although DO expect to encounter game-breaking bugs regularly.

(As an aside, don't bother with the 'Internal' branch. I usually update it a ton while I'm trying to fix specific bugs, like the game not running if your OS language is Turkish.)

- Jon”

I really don't want to give up on this game, but the never ending disappointment is wearing on me

I really wanted at least one more patch before I gave it a good playthrough. It has such great potential. The economic engine building is a lot of fun but it does feel unfinished. Please give us an update Jon.

That’s another thing. Jon has admitted that the game is far from finished.

Most devs would have put this game on a big discount by week 2 understandIng that it’s clearly not a $30 game.

He is further damaging sales and his brand by not listening to the market and his customers

There was a big update it seems released on the 19th in the unstable branch. Fixes the food bug and a lot of other stuff.

first notice that i posted this thread 2 days before the update. you're basically saying, by using past tense, that i should have known about the update and waited 2 days before posting.

you'll also notice that the update was not announced, which is key to the problem here, lack of communication.

I never said you should have. Was just posting it for people who didn't see the update.

This and Imperator Rome. Yet another reason why I no longer preorder.

The unstable branch is being updated every Friday and I'm busy making a lot of improvements there between the larger releases. If you're is unhappy with the game at present I have no issue with anyone requesting a refund from Steam (or emailing contact@conifergames.com if you're a Kickstarter backer). That said, I'll be sticking with this game for the long-term and can promise it will continue improving.

Jon stop with your bull s*hit excuses. You took a month off breaking your own promises once again .

Do your job; finish your game; be transparent on the forums. You do all this maybe I’ll take it a bit easier on you
