Food consumption.. what am i missing ?
tooltip says 0.2 food per clan i got 19 clans so i should consume 3.8 food per turn and as i am producing 8+ wheat per turn all should be fine ..
yet the tooltip says am consuming 36 food per turn for my clans....is this a bug ?

Isnt there per family per clan. U miss a few multipliers?

Athelastoraiel is correct. Consumption is per family; each clan starts out as 1 family and grows thereafter. While the family provides a bit (5%) bonus to production, it's mostly designed to be negative on your economy in the form as additional food consumption.

the food system is broken at the moment. It's on Jon's "to do" list. It get's more ridiculous late game if you have a butcher and meat smoker. I am producing +1800 food/ turn and the camp is eating 261.3 food / turn. 96.88% of food is going to spoilage.

I'm probably going to significantly redo food in v1.2 or v1.3, so stay tuned. The stored turns are a nice shorthand for seeing how much time you have left, but it results in a really fragile design. Might be best to just go with a full stockpile system and treat food like everything else.

As a new player it is pretty challenging to handle food in the early game. I actually look forward to the day when I actually have a surplus.
