Same, I want to try your game but the art style is a bit too childish IDK, I will eventually get it no doubt, maybe the gameplay even makes us forget OR even like the art then.

The game looks very good to me when playing it, give it a try.

it's not that snot-green ground that's being used too much these days, but it is too soft for me too -- too pastel -- note, that i'm a visual artist who can paint pastel colors fine. but, it's too much of a my-little-pony feeling for me. i don't feel anything gnarly's going to happen and that's immersion and it's kept me from really playing this. in fact, i'm watching all the youtubes to see if anything like gnarly comes up. but, maybe the point is that it's a more sophisticated CIV inspired game -- and, i really can't stand CIV 6 for its infantile glow of play-with-blocks happy.

by the way, i own the game.

played the demo..i wont ever buy it

even though i own all the rest

its clear that franchise is going in the wrong direction

to try and attract more casuals

i remember they did a civ game on console years back and civ6 reminds me of it so much

One of the Civ VI devs did a mod recently as a demo of what you could do. The map looks a lot more Civ V-ish with that mod (going by screenshots on mod page, I don't actually use the mod). Sorry, I forget the name though.

Also, I don't think it changes unit graphics, just the map.
