Rebinding keys?
...No option to rebind any of the keys on M&KB?
Also no mouse control in the pause/options menu?
Sure feels like a native "port", from 2007.
At least mouse seemed to feel okay-ish in game, holding right mouse to aim more like a traditional 3rd person shooter from 2010-2020 on PC where you can still easily strafe/backpedal was a nice way of controlling, at least there's that, just wish I could rebind stuff, and not a huge fan of the weapon/gadget cycling, Nightdive would have given us a weapon wheel or dedicated bindings for different functions so that player can easily swap between scan and whatever else tool/weapon they want to go to immediately, but now it's just a cycle, Q/E to go prev/next.

Really needs an option to turn off the mouse scroll as well. I find that my regular mouse regularly registers a click (lock on) as a scroll (weapon selection) - resulting in selecting an enemy, but having the wrong gear equiped.

Switching that off and replacing the E with a weapon wheel rather than a cycle would be a fantastic option. Especially as they've already implemented a slow-mo effect for the scanner visor, should be an easy implementation. If not I'm sure a modder will be along any time now.

Yeah my mouse scroll is a bit buggy and I have similar issues where it easily switches weapons/tools if I use the lockon
I'd prefer E be the interact button (bounty claim or torching etc) and maybe Q/TAB was the hypothetical time-slowing weapon wheel, but of course best if we got ways to actually rebind these things ourselves.

I watched a random video on this Aspyr port and in it, at 7min50secs, I see the player using what looks like a time-pausing, not exactly weapon wheel, but still a much more desirable way of choosing your gadgets with the pause and highlighting of the different icons in the center.

Is that somewhere bound to M&KB? Wasn't listed in the keybinding list if I remember correctly. Wish we could at least get that if not a "true" weapon wheel.

EDIT: mashing random keys, interesting highlights:
ALT is center camera
H toggles HUD on/off
L is fire/mouse1
3 is same as E, in essence next weapon (none of the other number keys do anything?)
ALT GR (ALT on the right?) is a weird one, you crouch, but also your aiming reticule comes up?

Mmm, definitely more keybinds in there than advertised. Also came across the HUD option and centering the camera.

The weapon selection thing may be a controller scheme thing, the new configuration has a 'weapon selection' bound to RB. Weapon selection does not have anything associated with in for keyboard in the controls overview. In theory that should mean it should be easy to implement as a keyboard prompt, possible even by us humble players / non-techies.

Yup, kind of sad, Aspyr seems to have moved on to just their next remaster/port that they're advertising instead.

Yeah, they lost a customer with it. :/

Sad that still nothing has improved. It's crazy to release a game these days without such a basic feature. Remaster or not- doesn't matter. Hard to imagine key binding being hardcoded or something.
There should be at lest some .ini/.cfg file accessible for modificaiton, even if in-game controls are baked-in into GUI etc.

This thing alone will stop me from writing even a mild positive review.
This port of an old af game from 2002 is nothing more than a cheap cash-grab. Expecting any more QoL features other than the barely functioning camera system is asking way too much.
