and i used stone houses only so that slowed the expansion a lot. i guess i will give it a 2nd shot and optimize some things and test if firewood production is worth it to use wooden houses.
If i'm not mistaken, I think the number of boarder houses influences how many nomads you are offered... i can't promise you'll live long after getting those 300 using nomads though :)

imho how many depends on your population but never read the help about boarding houses, but if so yeah i had none so one more point to optimize. i see <40 years inc :P
But i forgot to switch mine in year 20 and tools died, now town is in death spiral. So don't tihnk i'll try for the no crops, pasture, orchid one this game.... I messed up quite a bit, so i tihnk under 20 is possible....
First time expanding fast, so i did ok ;)
