I f*****g love this game
Please refrain from saying "bUt tHis gAm3 iS dEaD" or similar.

I don't want to talk about why this game has stopped receiving update, or the problem that this gamec (and all other games have in the videogame industries) has.

I just want to appreciate the fact that I can't find any other games that offer the gameplay that Take On Mars have.

I usually spend hours on hours just remote controlling rover or have a casual walk on the surface of Mars, or maybe building an outpost in the middle of the Victoria Crater, just because I'm truly immersed in this beautiful game.

I just want to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart to Dram for develop this truly beautiful masterpiece.

I couldn't agree more Jack. This game is like no other I have played. Its a crying shame development of it was ended.

Who knows, maybe a TKOM 2 will come along to sratch that Mars itch for us.

If you like to add stuff to the game then you should avoid the two posts and particularly the mod linked above me. It precludes adding further mods due to conflicting or duplicate mods already merged into it.

If you don't intend to add other mods then fine. Go for it.

Eih, i'm using your mod right now and its fantastic! One thing i noticed: you added a lot of usefull stuff in the outpost section (radiation resistant glass, power socket, etc) but the modular sectrion doesn't have all of this. Do you want to add this in the future?

@Jack
Do you really think it's his job? really? Then you're naive or stupid. No offense. It's not his job. 90 percent is the work of other authors.
Twice the developers of TKOM on STEAM canceled his account because he steals. Think about it. Don't thank the pirate.

Hey Jack, if you're looking for someone to play with I'd be down.

It's a great game, nothing like it when it was released. Hoping for TKOM 2.

I don't think it will happen. Most people want fantasy not reality. A damn shame really.

I'm not playing multi. It's not mine. I wonder how it plays. We could start a group in the coop. No mods, or just those that don't make the game easier. What do you think?

@Jack: I recommend "Lacuna Passage" if you are searching for a substitue and tired of TKOM. Sadly the development stopped too, but it is still a good game and gives the feeling of being alone on Mars. Personally i like the exploration focus in this game. If only somebody could script a similar scenario to Lacuna Passage in TKOM, this should be possible....
Jack Helldiver 27 Jan, 2022 @ 11:32am
@bernd I saw right now. What offers in comparison to take on mars?
bernd 27 Jan, 2022 @ 11:52am
In Lacuna Passage you crash landed on Mars and search for the three habitats on random locations. All systems degrade over time and you have to repair. You cannot build and cannot grow food, you have to find it in crates scattered around the map so you have a lot to explore. The resources do not respawn so the goal is to live as long as possible.
For navigation you have to find the waystats similar to the antennas in TKOM.
