Game locks steam library as read only after a while

Hey everyone,
I wanted to enjoy one of my favorite games again but I am running into an issue where after a while of playing the steam library folder gets locked as read only I have reinstalled, and removed the whole library but after playing for a while the issue returns. Fixing game files or the library via steam does not solve this. Has anyone run into a similar problem?

I've never seen that problem TM... wouldn't know what to suggest to help you :-(

Without detail it's difficult to help you troubleshoot... is Steam sharing causing a problem, maybe?

Never had anything like that. That sounds really weird. So the windows folder is not read only when the game is still good, and then you cannot play the game anymore - and the folder has become "read only"?

Any messages in the log files of the game from the moment this happens?
