Do you need players patch to enjoy the games fully?
As in the title. I've just got the game and I'm wondering whether players patch makes it better

If you mean the player patch in Steam workshop, I will say Yes. This mod fixes many bugs and balance the game play.

Yes, there's several silly things in the campaign that gets fixed; the foremost being the cryo trays can take a few hits and a few ships target enemies better

You will have an issue at mission 8 with crashing. I had to uncheck "read only" on my homeworld directory tt fix it.
