Game keeps crashing randomly
I recently switched my GPU from a RTX 2060 to a RX 7600 XT. ONLY in Assetto Corsa it crashes randomly and tells me "graphics driver stopped responding and had to be reset". I have tried lowering graphic settings, using a different version of CSP, uninstalled my old GPU drivers and installed the new GPU driver. It happens on every track in every car.

Delete AC from your MY DOCUMENTS folder. Validate your files. Re-install Content Manager(I have never used CM or mods in AC). Then come back and tell me if downloading new tracks works without Content Manager..

but did you remove* the leftovers first? from documents folder and install folder.
* - there might be needed content in the documents, so rename, or move the ac folder there, before you delete and until you know for sure.

I reinstalled everything, deleted the documents folder + content manager folder + assetto corsa folder and the installed it again. Same problem

after your last, you tried vanilla again, did not install extras again? your feedback is always inconclusive.

use ddu[www.wagnardsoft.com] to clean up.
try much older gpu driver, maybe one provided by the oem.

btw search the internet for issues, ac might not be so relevant to your issue.
like check your uefi for proper gpu settings. one said switching the pcie from auto to gen4 solved something.

I did everything you said and still get the same error. I am using an old driver from January 2025, same error. Sometimes it takes only about 2 minutes, sometimes it takes 30 minutes or more. I lowered the graphic settings a lot for testing so that my GPU was at about 30% utilisation (the error message suggested that) and got the same problem. I convinced it's a problem with AC1 because ACE and ACC works totally fine, same for other simulators that are harder to run.

j2025 is not old.
i dont feel like doing troubleshooting at the moment.
read error logs and messages, and search the internet.

I cannot open the error log due to it being a report file or something. I couldn't find a way to open it

event viewer and documents\ac\logs

Event viewer doesn't let me open .report files. AMD support didn't answer me sadly. I don't get why it only happens in Assetto Corsa only. Could it be a problem with DirectX11?
