how do i steer better with mouse
i dont own a wheel or a controller, so i am stuck to using Keyboard & Mouse. As long as the track is straight, i do just fine, but i bloody suck at the curves, i never get them right, and go along to crash, any tips how to do them properly

other than practice, there might not be anything else.

i never liked mouse steering, despite that im godlike in shooter games. i think its due the lack of feedback.
im pretty good using just the keyboard. if you are interested in that, look up my recent keyboard topic.

here we must slow down around 90 km/h to steer safely

Dont be afraid to attack the turns. Just keep dialing the tracks in until they click. You are going to leave the road allot and that is OK!! Its a simulator and not a one crash real car. This is made to go past the limits and learn what a car can do. To a point. Always take the time to get to know a real car. If in a real car its better to step it up slowly. In a simulator you dial it back until it works. Turn off mechanical damage until you are good around the track(s).
Also you can adjust your mouse sensitivity until you find the steering range is balanced end to end. Also turn off mouse acceleration for consistent handling. Good luck!
buy controler
I always thought the keyboard was better than mouse for steering - at least waaaay back when PC wheels were a rarity.
I have an idea, build a slider out of anything solid like PVC pipes, carboard, wood anything. Lube them. Put your mouse in a placeholder and you get horizontal and even input for the game.

best thing about this it is entirely up to you, have good and precise input, cheap and maintainable.

If you decided to build it, can you share your progress in youtube or something?

if you are going to build that, you might as well build a wheel.

buy yourself a cheap joystick 🕹, yould be better with it than some mouse contraption. they go for very cheap, 2nd hand especially.
