Starter kit for drifting and regular racing
I am looking for a starter kit for sim racing — suitable for both drifting and regular racing. The main thing is that the kit includes everything I need: a steering wheel with force feedback, three pedals (ideally with clutch), and a gearbox. No fanaticism and no overpaying — my budget is limited, so I am also considering used options.

I would be very grateful if experienced guys could share their experience or advise me on what to look for when buying.
If there is already a discussion on this topic, please send me a link. I searched but couldn't find anything suitable. Thank you!:2017catheart:

Do you have a budget in mind? Have you done any research into what you might want as far as quality-wise? If not, you're going to get all kinds of ideas from $25 pieces of crap to $1000 stuff.

When I did my homework I knew pretty quick I wanted a direct drive wheelbase, no belt driven stuff. So that upped the price a bit. I got lucky. I was looking for everything including a rig. I got lucky and found a whole starter set up on Facebook Marketplace.

Since then I've upgraded the pedals twice. But I love the wheelbase and rig. FBM has some good deals but there's a lot of overpriced stuff also. So you need to have an idea what you want, know what it costs new, then start looking.

Anyway, saying what kind of budget you're looking at would help you a lot to get people to think in the ballpark of what might work for you.
To start, you can look for a used G27. It's not very expensive anymore. I used it for a long time and I still use the pedals and gearbox, which I now combine with a Fanatec DD steering wheel for more force feedback power. Despite the many years, everything is still functional. It's a very solid product. You'll also need a handbrake, but again, to avoid spending too much, you can use a joystick.
And if you're really passionate about it, you can upgrade as you go.
