About Ski Passes

The biggest recent change to SNOW is the way you will access mountains. As explained in our preview blog post[www.snowthegame.com], we have moved away from selling new mountains and instead added a Ski Pass system that lets you access mountains for a much cheaper price.

Ski Passes work like this: each mountain requires a Ski Pass to access the mountain and all of its content (events, rewards, etc). Ski Passes come in 1 Day, 7 Day, and 28 Day options and can be purchased with Credits or earned as rewards through Swag Bags.

Don’t worry – Ski Passes are cheap! This is how much they cost:

1 Day Ski Pass – 45 Credits
7 Day Ski Pass – 95 Credits
28 Day Ski Pass – 190 Credits

Also, if you complete the Tutorial, you will get a 3 Day Sialia Ski Pass for free, letting you access the entire mountain and all the events for that time period.

If you want access to all mountains for a much longer period of time, consider buying one of the DLC options that will soon be available. The DLC contains All Access Ski Passes which grant access to all mountains for 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months, for a huge discount. There is also the option to buy the Lifetime Pass DLC which gives you access to all current and future mountains and feature unlocks forever.

Once you have purchased a Ski Pass you can activate it and start riding immediately. You’ll see the timer in the Mountain Info menu and be alerted when your Ski Pass is about to expire.

The only mountain that does not require a Ski Pass is Tyro Valley, which will always be free to play. There will also be a Weekly Mountain on rotation that does not require a ski pass to visit, but only lets you explore the mountain and not access the events and other mountain content.

Information for Players Who Purchased SNOW

If you already purchased a mountain (like Whiteridge or X Games), you will own that mountain still and never require a Ski Pass to play it.

As a thank you to our earliest supporters all Starter, Tester, and Founder Backers will receive a Lifetime All Access Pass, granting all current and future mountains and feature unlocks for free forever. If you think you should have access to a mountain that you don't currently have access to, please email us bugs@poppermost.se so we can help resolve the issue.

Here's what you'll get if you supported the game earlier:

Starter Pack (Steam) - Lifetime Pass
Tester Pack (Steam) - Lifetime Pass
Founder Pack (Steam) - Lifetime Pass
Closed Beta Immediate Access (Steam) - 3 Months Basic Pass

As of Friday January 5th, all gifted passes have been distributed. If you were expecting a pass but do not not see it in-game, please email us bugs@poppermost.se.

When you say access to all feature unlocks for early access backers does that mean thing the prop tool?

Yes, it includes all the features such as Prop Tool and Snowmobiles, and all the features that will be added in the future.

When should early backers (starter pack etc) expect to recieve thier passes? I'm getting bored of Tyro but don't want to spend credits for ski passes if i'm going to be getting my lifetime...

Sounds like a great way to give back to those who backed the game. Can't wait for the passes to be issued.

I have supported SNOW from the begin, but now you have lost me....

Would you explain why have you done updates this way?

First i discover good game paid is it 10€?
Then it comes free (lost 10€)
Now i can play only little poorly done map free and what the best thing is i have to pay about 1€ for one day to play??

Good that your are doing like DLC thing.

I hope i don't have to "buy" this game again. Remember that we who bought this game from the start made this game to come this point.

I know lots of people have probably asked this but are you able to give us an idea as to how long they will take to distribute or would you prefer not to say?

You got it right. I even would pay 15€ full game without time limit, but i don't understand that you have to pay every month little money. And also i think those who have supported in alpha versio should get limitless access to game since without theys money this game would not exist.

Thanks so much for getting the passes distrubuted!!! The only problem I have is that I bought the starter pack in early access but the pass I have recieved says it has 3 months left. Is this just because you dont have a way of giving a lifetime pass and you will update the after 3 months or have I been issued the wrong type of pass?

FYI: The Lifetime Pass is not a real Ski Pass but instead you just own everything instead. Go to your mountain selection and everything should be unlocked there.

Mine is all working with everything unlocked! hopefully this will be reflected appropriately in the review ratings for this game, now that the initial knee-jerk reaction to the ski passes has passed (no pun intended)
