Can't rotate camera, is this normal?
Hi,
First I had trouble getting my admittedly generic brand joy pad to work. Finally got it working by connecting it up through Steam Big Box, which is aggravating by I've overlooked it because at least it works now.

Anyway, I've noticed that there's no way to rotate the camera around Monkey. The camera moves around as I move around, but can't actually control the camera. I thought this was for dramatic effect in the beginning, but now that I have control after the prologue, I still can't rotate the camera around.

Is this normal???

Seems unusual that a game like this would be so restrictive. Game's not bad so far otherwise, only been testing, but been pretty aggravating. I'm trying to figure this out before I reach 2 hours in case I want to try to return it, which would be too bad.

By comparison, I've played DMC, and that is a beautiful game, you have full control to move around and rotate the camera everywhere, controls are very tight.

Thanks.

Yes, the camera is fixed.

OK, thanks. That's a real shame, but I'll probably keep it.

So I've now logged 61 minutes of gameplay, yeah, not too much, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to handle this fixed camera thing. I can't even see where the enemies are shooting from when I'm taking cover. There's zero control. Everything else about this game is right up my alley, but I don't know if I can get over this camera...and I might have to return it.
But you can move the camera with your right stick, only it's kind of limited and has the tendency to reset to the default position; using xbot 360 gaympad here.
You definitely need to be able to move the camera because of the aiming with stun/plasma projectiles later on.
So there's some issue with your generic gaympad most likely.

Yeah, you should be able to use right stick to move the camera for the majority of the game, few fixed cameras here and there. Worked right off the bat with my ps4 controller.

I was just about to give up on this because I thought it was the generic joystick, but then I found the controller settings in the Big Picture Mode. I can't connect my controller unless I'm in Big Picture mode for some reason. Then I have to exit Big Picture mode, and edit the controller config from the Steam app....annoying but at least everything seems to work now, so I'll probably keep the game.

Hey, IDK if this thread is still being used, but Im thinking about buying this game and have a few questions:

1 - Is this game worth $20

2 - Does the camera screw up if I use a keyboard and mouse, or should I use my steam controller?

3 - Is there any outstanding errors or issues with this game that might make me not want to play it, including the camera?
