is this game good?
I passed on it a while ago but after having my mind blown by Hellblade I think i might actually give it a go. What do you think anyone who played this after Hellblade how did it compare?

Haven't played Hellblade yet, so I can't compare, but this one is really good. In fact, I was going to start Hellblade, but when I found out it was done by the same team, I decided to play Enslaved first, so that it wouldn't feel dated in comparison to Hellblade. I had this game in my library for ages and if I knew it was this good, I would have played it years ago. I binged the game over the last weekend and now I'm replaying it for the achievements. Much fun!

Yes it's worth buying imo.

Just be aware that you could have issues with frame rate drops. I never got them in gameplay, thankfully, but some of the cut scenes were just un-watchable.

The game's still a lot of fun, though.... worth a try.

I'm off to look at Hellblade now, since I've never played it... sounds interesting.

I really enjoyed it looks really bad though with those low resolution shadows ugh might be fixable with a mod. I still really like the variety of game play and platforming feels like an old school ratchet and clank game at times. I do think the last third of the game is missing a lot of story and explanation since there is no sequel. I think they could have fixed that with books to find or audio logs.

No, never have been able to finish it.

I bought the game yesterday off Steam. I play left handed via keyboard & mouse, after altering all the key settings I find most of them reset to default next time I play or apparently even during play.
Added to that I could not get out of the prison as the game locked up at the same place repeatedly when controller prompts appeared and none of my keys would work.
Rather unfortunate really as later parts of the game look quite interesting. I requested a refund which was granted without question

It's buggy as hell.

But it is one of the better games in terms of gameplay and story. You should give it a shot.

16 hours on record, never experienced any bugs. Maybe it depends on the system.

I just got a brand-new Xbox One wireless controller and was thinking what to do with it. I'm not used to playing with a controller and I'm really clumsy with it, but I want to get better. Bottom line is that I still have some achievements to get in Enslaved, so it's a win-win: I'll get the hang of the controller and enjoy some more Enslaved playtime in the process. Thank you for your comment!

No probs.
Im not much better with a controller either. Even when i own a ps4.
I use a ps4 controller on my pc and played the entire game with it. No problems whatsoever.

Just finished the DLC after playing the main game. Game was a bit clunky, definitely showed it's age. Enjoyed the story. Used the monkey ninja suit for infinite rods and blasted through the game.

One of those games that kind of sticks with you for a long time. Not the story, so much as the relationship between the two characters who have perfect chemistry throughout the game. Indeed, the controls are often very challenging and I kept having to switch back and forth between K+M and Controller to play but the characters kept me so invested that I pushed through despite that.
