Back then I also thought that various details don't add up, but it's been a while. It's still a good game, especially the first half before they cram Pigsy down your throat.
Girl semself did enslave person (for good will offcause) and did broke promise as well, so for me there is no big difference.
Most of them will die. Cannibals will survive more or less.
Based on the way they all get in there I've doubt that any of them even know in what direction their home is, not speaking of to return to it on foot.
I'll kill the girl as soon as I found that thing on my head and even if I've got damaged braine and go trought first half of the game I'll kill her without any hesitation after she broke heir promise. No trust - no deal.
Still.. glad I played it, but I'd rank it like a 70%. But I can easily see why it was a financial failure. It just lacked polish and a better premise and a better final wrap-up. I never saw any advertisement for it whatsoever, but there also wasn't any follow-up buzz about it, indicating that it didn't wow players and build a big following that spread word of it. It fizzled.
The controls were frustrating, and no matter how much I tried, I could never get comfortable with them. No amount of tweaking made aiming easy, and the camera angles were just drunkenly insane.
There were some shining moments in there though. Monkey was great, and I thought Pigsy was superb. And Trip. I wanted to like her, and even at times I could almost forget what she did to Monkey at the beginning of the game. When looking at her backs– er, her attributes, and facial expressions, she was likable enough, except for that one little thing: putting a slave headband on me. I don't think I could have forgiven her for that. EVER!
The early levels with the nature-overtaken city and buildings and lush vibrant areas with ancient civ stuff spread around in it... just awe-inspiring. Then it went downhill and we have skim-boarding on water and those chase sequences and endless jumping climbing and fighting the camera the whole way. Still, some of the areas were incredibly interesting, and there was some real talent showcased in a lot of the artwork, but the enemies were just uninspired.. you fight the same basic enemies with slight variations for 90% of the game. By the time you get to see some real variety again (the leeches were amazing! the way they flew through the air and latched onto the mech) it was over, with a boring Epilogue cutscene and unskippable credits. egad!
A2. Yeah, i think she did the right thing. Where all the humans being replaced or were they jsut going to stick around until they died? even though teh "real" world sucks ass and is now a wasteland, humanity can now continue and possibly rebuild. they stole this bit from the matrix ha.
A3. I think Monkey and Trip would try to lead them back to Trips village and start anew there.
A4. In terms of the game. I would have added an antagonist throughout the game. There is no real "bad" guy that you are trying to kill and the final fight is just monkey agaisnt a big mech. would've been better to have a final fight against a bad guy that's been built up from an earlier point in the game.
