Have spent about an hour moving these damn trams around, and nothing works. Finally consulted a walkthrough youtube video and I'm doing the puzzle like it says, and I have both trams pointed toward each other in the middle of the tracks, but I can't jump across this tiny little gap.

Just weird little glitches throughout the game, but this one prevents further progress. You'd think after almost 5 years these little minor inconveniences could be ironed out. Oh well, will try tomorrow. A poster on Gamefaqs suggested restarting the level from the beginning. (Have to anyway, since the game's checkpoint save system puts you WAY back at times; sheesh!). Going to bed for now. :-( Zzzzzzz.....
