Yup, it's an allaround lazy port, but the camera is truly something. The only other game with a camera this bad was RE6

Let's not exaggerate the camera. While its fully automatic (IIRC) and therefore doesn't always quite do the right thing, I don't remember it as being particularly bad.

it does suck, but one can manage. But that's not a port issue. the original game ran terribly and had all the same issues. That's why it did so badly and only got more popular ass ort of a hidden gem years later. You play the game for the story and characters. The gameplay is just fine.

Wow! "Fine"? The controls and camera are totally wonky! Just getting around in the game is a chore. Combat is even worse. You can tell, I'm really frustrated with these controls. The game is nice to look at and has an OK story line, but geez. I just wish I had a nickle for every time I cussed at my character when he either would not do what I wanted or did the opposite! I've wasted a lot of time just trying to do things over and over. Oh yeah, the save system sucks too. Going back to the start of a fairly long level when you die is the pits. It's really a shame.

Combat is fine enough, I enjoy it, Camera reminds me of final fantasy games.

A bit crazy, I agree, but not impossible. Like so many other gameplay aspects from one title to the next, just takes getting used to I guess. I might have a different opinion further in the game, however, once the enemies start getting noticeably tougher. We'll see..
