Go to C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\MonkeyGame\Config
(where <your user name> is of course your user name)
Open the file MonkeyEngine.ini with an editor (I reccomend Notepad++, witch is great).
Find the following variables in the file and change them to the values below:
LightEnvironmentShadows=True
ShadowFilterQualityBias=8
MinShadowResolution=256
MaxShadowResolution=4096
ShadowFadeResolution=256
ShadowDepthBias=0.100
It is possible some values are correct already, but check them to make sure.
Save the file, right-click on it and set the file to read-only.
If you now start the game, those weird shadows should be gone.
