How to get rid of the Moire Effect ?
I noticed a stripy pattern on Monkey under certain lighting conditions also called a Moire Effect. I tried enabling or disabling motion blur but that had not much effect, it only makes it more blurry (which I don´t like) but it is still there. I saw it on Trip too, but less visible. Is there a way to fix this or it this just part of the games graphics engine that can't be fixed ?

1. Find the baseengine.ini in the steam common\enslaved\engine\config
2. Edit baseengine.ini and set light enviroment shadows to false.
3. Set to Read Only.

LightEnvironmentShadows=False

Thanks for the help. I changed the LightEnvironmentShadows setting to false and made the baseengine.ini file read only. Unfortunately the moire effect is still there.

Try to change it in

User\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\MonkeyGame\Config

MonkeyEngine.ini

Thanks, that seems to have worked. I don´t see the effect on the in game model of monkey any more. Have not seen any cutscenes though, I hope it is gone there too.
