stuck at the beginning of Chapter 2

I am 'late to the party'. I am trying it now.

I just started playing and I cannot properly get to the other side of the bridge. Monkey can climb up, into the middle and then to that pipe. But he cannot move to the handhold. I have tried moving the joystick on the controller in different ways but he doesn't budge at all.
Can anyone suggest anything at all?

Is the problem still not solved? I started playing and I have the same problem. I have not found a solution to it. Judging by the discussion history, this problem has been going on since the release of the game on PC.

I don't know how. But I managed to do it. I can't figure out what step finally allowed me to overcome the bug. First, I went into Extras and turned everything off. Then I changed the resolution to 800-600. Then I turned off the game, went back in right away, and the bug disappeared. Maybe because I restarted the game ten times (or maybe more).
