Changing FOV value?
As the title says. Does anyone know of a way to change the FOV of the game?
I was able to launch the game on my triple screen setup, but the default FOV is so low, it makes the game unplayable.

A solution is given in the page for this game on PC Gaming Wiki.

That solution is not working, not on Steam anyway. That was the first thing I tried. I believe the creator of that plugin abandoned that project. It points to the wrong address and/or is corrupted. Thus, I am looking for an actual way to do it myself.

I'm currently using it on Steam and it works perfectly fine. Be sure to choose "v1.1.1 - Steam" in the plug-in settings Game Version. (And I have downloaded both Widescreen Fixer and the Enslaved plug-in thru the links given in PC Gaming Wiki page without any issue.)

I will try again, maybe the issue is with my machine

No, still the same. I am pretty sure the guy who wrote the plugin made a mistake. It's coming up with a Windows Form Error: "Could not find a part of the part 'C:\Users\XXX\documents\my games\UnrealEngine3\MonkeyGame\Config\MonkeyHUDWidgets.ini'

Then it says a long error about StackTrace: etc etc

Be sure to run the game at lesat once without Widescreen Fixer so that the default .ini files are created in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\MonkeyGame\Config.

You can try to move, rename or delete the actual content of %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\MonkeyGame\Config, run the game without the plug-in to recreate a set of default config files then quit the game and try to relaunch it with Widescreen Fixer activated.

I have ran the game without it before, these files are not kept there for me. I have my Documents folder in another drive. I also tried manually creating a folder structure and copying the files. It seems, I will not be able to use this person's fix as it is a path he wrote into the plugin himself, not a variable that he gets from the game.

Congrats! You are the one person on the entire internet (according to google) that has had this problem alongside me! Just wondering if you ever found a fix or gave up.

Sorry my friend, I never found a solution. I also no longer play on a triple setup due to the general lack of support from developers.

Ah. I'm on an ultrawide and not surround, but the FOV was irritating in this game even at 16:9. I did end up finding a FOV workaround that works well enough at 21:9 (doesn't fix the hud stretching, but not much of an issue at that aspect ratio). Thanks for responding though!

Would actually love to know this solution, tbh xD I also have the same issue with the ultrawide fixer not being able to find the files. But the resolution is fixed when in-game (not in the menu) but I'd love a FOV fix cause the camera is WAY too close.

Oh wow, I'm upset I was that guy that posted about a fix with no info. I honestly have no clue what I was referring to 5 years ago, but PCGamingWiki has a fix posted https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Enslaved:_Odyssey_to_the_West#Video
