I have a similar issue as you BushwacK I have uninstalled, reinstalled and followed the Options to reduce the video settings to LOW w/o Vsync but I get to the 2nd Mech Fight and POOF the game locks up.

Yet the game just sits there saying press spacebar and left click for a wide attack. Nothing I can do but Alt-F4 out of the game.

I get past the first and second fight (both at the location of the first fight), but when I get to the third fight (where it wants me to press the mouse button and another button at the same time when battling two mechs at once) it locks up as soon as the message comes on-screen. I should take a screen shot if I can. [EDIT - Oops, yeah, same location as Eberhardt's post. I have Windows 10 Pro.]

@PKondon1618, I have contacted them directly through E-mail, it has not been helpful but they will ask you for some additional information about the system, send them the .... etc... It took them 2-3 days to get back to me on E-mail vs. this string which they have NOT addressed at all. Hope that helps mate. (PS Mine is still non-functional)

This is an old thread, but I just bought the game today and am experiencing the same issue. The game freezes while fighting the first mechs.

I'm using a wired 360 PC controller running Windows 10 Pro with GTX 980.

Unfortunately the game is unplayable.

Update:

I applied the "Large Address Aware.exe" fix described in another thread and that seems to have solved the problem. The freezes during the first mech fights still occurred (10-30 seconds), but 90 minutes into the game they haven't happen since.
